Reminder from Joan Millien: Charges at the D-E School Store & The Coop

Dear Parents/Guardians:

For your convenience, Dwight-Englewood permits Middle and Upper School students in Grades 6 – 12 to charge items in our School Store. Many students find this helpful if they need school supplies or a piece of equipment for Health & Wellness or team sports, at the last minute. These charges will appear on your SMART Tuition account as “School Store Charge.” We encourage you to speak to your child(ren)  about this privilege and ensure that he or she understands your expectations about the circumstances under which he or she is allowed to make school store charges. If you are not comfortable with your child being allowed to charge items in the School Store, please contact me by email at the School Store at: bookstore@d-e.org  (no phone messages please) — indicating your child’s name and grade level — and I can restrict your child’s account from such charges.

Additionally, D-E is now working with MyKidsSpending (MKS) to implement a new way to purchase items at The Coop, with a cashless checkout.  You will also be able to get statements that show your child’s spending at The Coop, item by item, on-demand.  Your My Kids Spending account will need to be funded through the MKS website only.

To create an account, please visit www.mykidsspending.com.  Please use your personal email address.  You will need your child’s d-e email address and student ID number.  (Your book ordering email contains both.) You will have the option to fund your child’s My Kids Spending account with a credit card or checking account.

Using their d-e email address, your child can also setup their own account from the MKS website, or the MKS mobile app that can be found on the Google/Apple Store.

If you have any questions regarding charges at the School Store and/or the Coop (and MKS) please let me know!

Feel free to Email bookstore@d-e.org

Sincerely,

Joan Millien
