Dear Middle School (MS) Grades 7-8 Families,
I appreciate the support for the Middle School Thanksgiving Food Drive to support the Center for Food Action. It took a dozen students multiple trips to bring the donations out of the building to load onto the truck for delivery. A great display of the positive impact of our community.
We’ve rotated to the winter season for sports and activities. There were several new offerings this winter (including the very popular Table Tennis option). If your child didn’t get their first choice, it was due to space limitations. We will be expanding these options in the spring to get as many of their first choices as possible.
Finally, today, Grades 7-8 families have access to their student’s mid-semester grades for the fall. You can access the comments through the D-E website. Please see the instructions listed below.
This is the second of seven formal Middle School family communications designed to provide information about your student as a learner and a person. Remember, both the comments and grades are sent at this time to allow students to make improvements before the end of the semester in January. The grades show each student where their current standing is in a class with plenty of time for course corrections.
Instructions to Access Comments:
- Go to the My D-E area of the Dwight-Englewood website.
- Log-in to My D-E using your assigned password or the password you established for yourself. If you need assistance, please contact D-E Computer Services by email at help@d-e.org, or call 201.227-3177.
- Click on your child’s name at the top of the page
- Click on Progress (if not already selected), then click on the current grade for your child immediately below that.
- After selecting the grade, click on the Report Cards link in the Performance area.
This file can be saved to your computer or printed out for your records. These reports will remain viewable while your child is enrolled at Dwight-Englewood.
If I don’t see you next week, I hope your family has a restful Thanksgiving holiday. As the 2022 year winds down, there are many things to be thankful for. The time I get to spend with your kids is at the top of my list.
Regards,
Jonathan
