GRADE 6 EGYPT DAY

All 6th Grade Parents/Guardians are invited to join their student(s) on Thursday, December 20, for Egypt Day.  This project combines research, writing, and performance art to bring the culture of ancient Egypt alive. We will be performing for parents in the afternoon between 12:45 PM and 2:00 PM on the second floor of Umpleby Hall.

In the weeks leading up to Egypt Day, I will be asking each student to bring in a white, flat (not fitted), twin bed sheet which we will use to make our costumes.  Please have your child come in with the sheet by Monday, December 10th.

Also, I encourage you to talk to your son or daughter about his or her role for Egypt Day.  Have him or her perform her/his script for you!  Talk with him or her about what kinds of props s/he may need/want to bring his or her character to life or decorate our room.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Ben Fleisher at fleisb@d-e.org.  We’re all very excited about the Egypt project over here, and we hope you can join us!
