Dear Grade 6 Parents/Guardians,
I would like to cordially invite you to join us on Thursday, December 19, 2019 for Egypt Day. We will be performing for parents in the morning between 9:15 am – 11:15 am. This project combines research, writing, and performance art to bring the culture of ancient Egypt alive on the second floor of Umpleby Hall.
In the weeks leading up to Egypt Day, I will be asking each student to bring in a white, flat (not fitted), twin bed sheet which we will use to make our costumes. Please have your child come in with the sheet by Monday, December 9, 2019.
Also, I encourage you to talk to your child about their role for Egypt Day. Have them perform their script for you! Talk with them about what kinds of props they may need/want to bring his or her character to life or decorate our room.
